Creative Ways To Prepare Your Child For Kindergarten!

I really LOVE the PreK scholars curriculum, and so does my 4 year old. It is JUST what I was looking for to get her ready for Kindergarten. We are a military family and are living on Oahu- I love living here, but the cost for pre-school here on the island is more than I wanted to pay. Now I can teach my daughter myself, spend more time with her and save money. It's great. Today we are making Pink Peppermint Play-dough- and my 6 and 7 year olds are excited to participate too. Bio:

I am a former Kindergarten, First and Second Grade educator with experience in the Irvine Unified and Long Beach Unified School Districts. After having my first child, I was given the opportunity to stay at home with my son.  I now have two children and have been teaching Pre K Scholars out of the home for the past three years.

My son is a former student of the program founder, Amy Schwary.  After substituting with Miss Amy a few times, I knew what a special program this was and that I wanted to teach Pre K Scholars. This program offers a developmental approach to learning, yet exposes children to the advanced curriculum demands of today's Kindergarten.  It addresses the different learning styles and it is fun!  Both of my children have recently attended Kindergarten and the demands are so much more than they were when I left the formal classroom.

Pre K Scholars is a balanced program which fosters a student's individual potential, while boosting their confidence.  I will work with your child to promote confidence in their fine motor skills, phonemic awareness, reading readiness, basic math, science and social sciences in a small-group environment.  I hope to get the chance to help you and your child build a strong foundation for a successful Kindergarten experience!

NEW IN JANUARY 2012
I will be teaching 4 students at a time to maximize student learning.  In addition, I will also be introducing more reading readiness tools that have not been offered before.  If you are interested in registering your own group of 4, please call to ensure your group is scheduled together.
